Kimberly began Judo when she was 7, soccer when she was 9, water polo when she was 14. Excelling in all three areas, Kimberly finally had to choose one area to concentrate her training on. She chose Judo.

Kimberly began training at a local club in Hamilton where she was the only girl.  She was training with grown men who were bigger and stronger then her.  Over the years she too grew bigger and stronger.  Kimberly represented Canada for almost 12 years as a National Team member.  Kimberly has competed and medaled around the world in the following weight categories -66kg, -72kg, and her Olympic weight at -78kg.  Some of her best accomplishments include multi time Canadian champion, 4 time U.S Open medalist, British Open silver medal, Common Wealth Gold, Silver and bronze medalist, Pan American Silver and Bronze medalist, and Hungarian Cup Bronze medal.  Her biggest accomplishment is representing Canada at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.  Kimberly is now a NCCP level 3 coach and has coached both senior and junior Provincial teams, and has twice coached for the Canada Winter Games.
